When's the next Reading night out then?

There are a fair few clubby places in Reading.

The purple turtle was quite busy with dodgy club music downstairs, pretty packed including some typical club-wankers that probably have got chucked out of other places already, so you can have the best of both worlds.

(Though I'm open as to our destination).

Purple Turtle is open 'till 4, presume some other places are as well.

Whats the reading Walkabout like G ? cheap drinks before 9, just hope it isnt the fight club it is in Croydon.

there are plenty of bars.....walkabout, ice bar, yates to name a few but...yes they are the fight clubs of europe! - full of chavs and little girlies although why do I have the suspicion that would probably be appealing..........

Pavlo's and Turtle are chilled out and you dont generally get any grief and you have a decent evening and actually speak to people without getting pushed around.....and of course its open late....

Can people please note the new thread started here and reply there to confirm you're attending.
(I could swear I vowed to not do any organising for such events in future )

Personally I don't think the walkabout in Reading is that bad.
You get people trying to start fights in the down stairs of the turtle now it seems (though probably just people that couldn't get in to more appropriate places for them) and their share of fourteen year olds too, probably.
Turtle is free to get in though and drinks are slightly cheaper than the walkabout.

We will be going to Pavlov's Dog first, where drinks are much cheaper than either place (a It's a Scream pub).
