Hi, Me and a few mates have just bought some off road motorbikes and are just trying to find out where we can ride them wihout Mr Plod taking our liscence off us (ie leggaly). There used to be a lace behind the cop station but this has been closed down. Any body know of a filed or anything where it is ok to ride. Any where close to Sheffield would be good.

Thnaks for any info given.

I used to go to sheffield ski village on the snowboard and bikes would always be going around the outside of the place.
Some of the tracks are quite steep so it should be fun.
Just don't fall off or flip it!!!

How are you planning on getting there? Do you have insurance or a van / trailer?

Just picking up my 3 bike trailer tonight, plus we got a van so there will be 4 of us all together. Is it actually legal to ride on the place? i know that police don''t bother you but its just useful to know.

AFAIK the place is used daily by bikers, and now pretty much has tracks and jumps carved out of it.

You should be fine, provided you dont cause any damage to ski village property, and don't make too much noise.

If you want to green lane a bit in the Peak District then check out this site. You'll need to road registered of course with at least a daylight MOT if needed

https://www.klxzone.co.uk/index.html some good downloads on there

but please enjoy yourselves with consideration for the tiny minority of the 'kin rambling bretheren which is bent on putting a stop to everyone else enjoying themselves.
