Quote:
Ian Anderson flute and vocals and Martin Barre guitar provide to this day the musical and historical backbone of the group joined by Doane Perry on drums Andrew Giddings on keyboards and Jonathan Noyce on bass.

With sales of around 60 million albums and more than 2500 concerts in 40 countries the band continue to tour and record typically performing 100 concerts per year. In 2006 Tull come to town with their heady mixture of old and new. The Aqualung Tour will feature the entire Aqualung album played throughout the show. A first for the UK.

i looked at it mate, but midweek dates are best avoided for me

as of 1st of march, i have no idea where i'll be or what i'll be commited to

1 Sqn went out to Afghan in december..and i join them in March Rolling Eyes

and i can't get any answers as to whether I will be staying at Cottesmore or they are gonna send me out there, bought the tickets anyway, but even if im home there is no way i could make a midweek date, cos no leave left till it resets in April

got tickets for Aussie Floyd at Colston Hall though, so will probly see you there Wink

if you managed to get tickets, you are truly in for a treat

just got back, was absolutely blown away, both me and sticky had a fantastic evening

not only was the promise of delivering the entire aqualung album fulfilled with great gusto, but much more besides

opening with 'Life is a long song', followed by 'Skating away on the thin ice of a new day' a personal favourite of mine, still sounds as good as ever

they fit in 'wond'ring aloud' and 'living in the past' before the interval, i would have been happy with just that, but there was more Smile

they have introduced a young violinist to the lineup for this tour lucia micarelli, who was quite breathtaking

played a version of 'kashmir' from zeppelin like you have never heard, led by flute and violin Cool

and various other new pieces throughout the night, improvised mozart adaptations being a highlight

an appearance by one of my all time favourite songs 'budapest' from the crest of a knave album really made my night Very Happy

tull have still very much got it Cool

ending on an absolute high with 'aqualung' note perfect, followed by a huge encore, then after the return to the stage 'locomotive breath' and 'cheerio' to finish

absolutely top night, best gig i've ever seen, even just about pipped aussie floyd from RnB last year

Very Happy Very Happy Thumbs Up
