OK for those of you interested in using your Tom Tom Go Car on you bike here a pic of the mounts I used:

I bought them from https://www.ram-mount-uk.com/index.htm them menu they use is quite confused, and perhaps some of the bike mounting suggestions aren't great. Mine are though Mr. Green I used the following 3 parts:

RAM-B-202-TO1 tom tom mount
RAM-B-231z Single U-Bolt Base with Ball
RAM-B-201-A Double Socket

Online they recommend a RAM-B-201 Double socket. However it's far too long imo long and I think only suitable for cruisers. I ordered the 1" RAM-B-201-A for my Fazer. Much shorter & perfect for most bikes.
Came to about £35 for the lot. I called the order through as I gave up on the online system. Recieved the order the next day.
Took about 5 mins to put all the parts together. Very simple, not complicated at all. A monkey could do it.

I used The tom tom to travel from Plymouth to Manchester on Christmas Day. A distance of about 300 miles. The Ram mounts Stayed rigid all the way. Very simple construction but very sturdy. It's quite flexible and you can position it to suit. the Tom Tom handled the very cold and somtimes wet conditions brilliantly. Although if constant or heavy rain had come down I would have stopped and taken it off. I'm that impressed I'm going to think twice now about buying a bike specific sat nav. This set up works so well I can't right now see the point. Hope this helps Wink

Drooling

Can I have it when you've finished? I want one but they're too damn expensive!

Why did they take so long to release it?

I stuck my iPAQ on the bike using RAM mounts too. I went out the other day in the pouring rain, and wasn't daft enough to put the iPAQ on - I put it in my pocket instead.

If you're generally a fair weather rider, I wouldn't bother with the expense of the TomTom Rider.

Useful info! From their web site I guess it doesn't come with power leads as they don't mention them. But does the cradle part of the mount have a power socket at the back like the car mount?

the docking shoe that GO sits in has a DC in socket on the back.

You can easily wire as charlie says the DC t0 to a cigarette adapter to your bikes battery.
