I'm thinking off changing my bike from a 98' CBR 600 to a newer GSXR750. Anybody got a 750 and whats it really like to live with day to day. Question Question Question
I'll be using it nearly everyday including the winter so is the extra power going to give me problems in crap weather. Question Question

Watch out for rust, spinning up is a problem at first untill you can control the throttle properly.
other than that its an awsome bike, very quick.

No rust on mine, although Suzuki did use some dodgy metal for a couple of years. My brother bought a brand new RVG250 and it was decimated with rust within a year - Suzuki said it's because he lived near the sea! Rolling Eyes A while afterwards we saw some GSXRs of the same year with the same problem. This was quite a while ago though.

Day to day riding the bike is excellent (although I don't use it for work or anything) and the difference in torque from a 600 will probably be the most noticeable thing; it will pull hard from virtually no revs so you can be as lazy as you like with the gears and still ride it like a nutter when you want! Twisted Evil

My trip to work is only about a 12 mile round trip so I wont be using it to its full potential commuting but its the weekend and days off that Ill be using it properly. How much should I expect to pay for a fairly decent second hand one ?? Thinking

Can't fault my K3 for build quality or the brakes. In fact, the only thing wrong with it is the riding position on long distances (if I was being picky), but it is a sports bike afterall!

The brakes on my old 600 were better, but i've fitted a Magura 19mm bore rad. Brake lever, stainless lines, Dot 5, and SBK3 pads and its great now.

I'm not fussed about comfort, the motor always takes my mind off the backache. Wink
