It's only an hour and a half by train to Gatwick from Fleet which I think is a fair bit quicker than M3/M25/M23 in rush hour which could easily take 2 hours or more?

I'd be up for going out somewhere the night before but I'd also be happy to just sit around somewhere getting stoned. Smile

Just been having a look at south west trains and fuck me its hard to get a price from that shit website. I had to register and go through loads of crap only for it not to give me a price. Stupid thing. Middle Finger

Train is probably better, 1:15 minutes with a change at clappham junction. Thumbs Up

This is going to involve something silly like geting a train at 06:40, 07:22 or 07:40. I vote for the 6:40 just cos it's the quickest, only one change and will allow for the most getting drunk time at Gatwick. Mr. Green

A return ticket is £22.80.

There is one other small problem; the last train to get back on Sunday night is 38 minutes after the flight lands at Gatwick Laughing Laughing

£22.80 isnt too bad plus a taxi from my house to the station will be about £25 each. Means i'll be able to get wasted on the last day too, not have to drive back. Mr. Green

This is adding up waaay too quickly, would it not be cheaper to get 4 of us in the car. That way we won't miss any trains if the flights delayed, and it won't cost us nearly £50 each, just to get from the airport home. Plus i've got to spend £50 or so on fuel getting to and from london from stoke.

Whatever we do, it needs to be sorted soon before the prices are bumped up.

Ok i have found a place that does parking just outside of gatwick airport for £16.80 you arrive there park and then get a bus into the airport (about 4-5 minute journey)

I reckon with petrol it will come to a total of £35 so if there is 4 of us will be about £8.50 each. A bit cheaper than train and probably less hassle as we could pick ste up on the way. Thumbs Up If thats all ok then i will book probably tonight.

Also just realised we are gonna have april fools day over there. Gonna be an interesting day. Laughing

I'd say the requirements needed for the trip go something like:
Arrow Must take lots of drugs.
Arrow Must be up for a laugh.
Arrow Musn't get too stressed if you get written on in your sleep. Wink
Arrow Must be single. Razz
Arrow Musn't be posh.

Wave says this "im 18, marks 18, davos 23 your 17 scotts 20 stes 21, korn and his mates are about 23, and danny is 21"

I might be in, it aint the money, its whether im on easter break then or not.

Not being funny but its an 8 hour trek from uni to home, which is murder anyway. To go on from there.... Mad.

But if im at home (only about an hour from gatwick if that) then definitely in. Im sure theres no great urgency to book tickets is there?

Just to warn you, i do collapse on skunk these days, but hash is groovy (if still sleep inducing).

Edit: Oh and by the way, i'll be 19 by then, and i think i cover all the over provisos, although anyone writing on me in my sleep expect to get kneed. It seems to be my reaction to that 9/10 Shocked

The hotel just needs to be booked, you don't pay until arrival and you can cancel the booking with no charge something like 7 days before arrival. If you're interested in coming I'd say book the hotel now and just remember to cancel it if you decide that you're not coming.

Easyjet are cheaper the earlier that you book and the budget flights at sensible times of the day do sell out.

Stumpies RR, anyone is welcome to come along. Smile

I would not bother staying in that hotel (Quentin Arrive)- I stayed there three months ago. Problems are as follows:

* too far from the red light district (which inevitably is where you will be heading back from each night)

* Its an absolute first class shit hole

* Beds broken with stained sheets ( i kid you not )

* Grafiti all over the walls

* Used condom found under the bed

* Filthy showers / washing facilities

I do fancy going on the trip though but can fly from Coventry. Is anybody else thinking of going from near here?

Well dont say you weren't told! Seven minutes my arse! Rolling Eyes I would advise getting a room when you are there right in the middle of the red light district. Plenty of the bars etc...have great rooms so you only have to stagger upstairs to your bed.
You are guaranteed a good time without a doubt but avoid the Quentin Arrive at all costs.

Stash your money, theres 4 of us in the room anyway. Or move your bed by the door when you sleep. Tiny bit ott thought just for one dodgy comment.
See what it's like when we get there. Smile
