Bike got written off

My bike got written off today!

After my accident where the van driver pulled out in front off me, I got the bike inspected by a local motorbike garage. They said the bike was 'beyond economical repair'. Crying or Very sad

Just put new chain and sprockets on the bastard and a full tank of Shell Optimax too - Crying or Very sad

I'm making a claim against the van driver and hopefully claim for damage to glooves/jacket, Personal injury (cuts and bruises and a painful shoulder which could be wiplash) and for the money for my bike. Very Happy

Looks like I'll be looking for another NSR shortly, so if any1's got 1 4 sale give us a shout next week and I might b interested.

make sure the van driver pays Very Happy

remember you will be gettin a few grand for the bike......several hundred for the kit (make sure u get a recipt of the kit, mabyee even a reciept for that £350 AGV lib u were wearing) and lets not forget the 1.5K u'll get for your painful injures, oh yea and possibly a little more for the predicted rise in your insurnace cos of the accident

Did they say what bits they thought made it beyond economic repair... several people on hjere (including me Smile

) may be interested in buying the wreck if you ge the chance Smile

I've got a 6 month old NSR for sale, if you're interested, realistic price £2500.... may be able to do a deal with your dead bike Smile

It's worth checking to see if you can get a hire bike, etc in that time on the insurance.

any injuries to you? im still waiting on the other half of my money for my old nsr(since november) but i think this is cos i havnt sent the insurance the police report Rolling Eyes

Yeah they said the forks were bent, the front wheel was buckled and the radiator was busted so it was leaking fluid and the front fairing was smashed to bits other wise the rest of it is pretty good.

They also said the frame was bent - I find that hard to believe but nevermind - Confused

Yeah maybe we can do so deals G/Kris, Sent all the stuff off to the solicitor 2day and going to c the doctor 2moro about my injured shoulder so have got the ball rolling and shoudn't be 2 long before I can by another bike.

Oh yeah and I was wearing a £350 Shoei helmet that has a small chip on it from a previous stone chip 2 shiny paint interface!

Went to the doctor's on Friday

She said that I had probably fractured my colorbone! Shocked

She's refered me to a physiotherapist and going for an x-ray soon aswell.

And I thought that I had just pulled a muscle in my shoulder! Shocked

The rear half of my bike should be mint. Just had new rear sprockets and chain and rear brake pads. I'm glad I didn't buy the tax for it in the end and I didn't need it
