Hello,

I went to work on monday when my scooter got knocked over by a car, I managed to get the registration of the car by a witness but aparently its a fake plate...

Anyhow, I don't know how long it had been left on the floor, from 5:30pm till 7:10pm when I got told.

Since its been knocked over the engine won't start, it hasent done much damage to the bike so it couldnt of hit the floor hard?

I have check sparkplug, carb, airfilter but I still can't get it started...

Any help?

Thanks.

Ok still no luck,

Got a good spark, got air, got fuel.

When I get the fuel whats coming from the cylinder head and try and light it on my hand it doesnt light?

I get the fuel from the tank and it lights?

I don't understand?

Could this be headgasket?

Took it to garage aparently it will take 2 weeks before they will even look at it, I need it back on the road asap!

Thanks!

Your scooter being a 2 stroke houldnt be that badly affected by being left on its side (one of the advantages of a 2 stroke engine is the ability to be used at any orientation, hence the use in chainsaws) I seriously doubt it would be the head gasket, since being on its side shoudlnt cause that to go. if you have spark, compression (test this to rule out head gasket) and fuel your engine should run, I suspect it is a fuelling problem. when you say you tried to light the fuel from the head gasket what exactly do you mean? Id check that you are getting fuel through carefully.
