Derestict a Honda SH50 City Express

My friend has one but she can't keep up with me when we go out. could someone please tell me how we can derestrict it?

Honda city express's arnt really built for speed?

you could try upjetting the carb and removing the variator washer?
however i dont think there will be a huge increase in power. mabye they did a 70cc kit for the city express

BAD NEWS i had one and sold it last year and got a 125cc.

If you have the later model you can get a technigas spots exhaust and fit that if you have the eary model then they stopped making the sports exhaust about 2 years ago. i tried to source one for 3 months with no luck. There is a new standard replacement exhaust for the sh50 which is better thab the standard old type You also could put in a foam filter to give you a bit more power but i ended upgrading the rollers and drive plate,

This gave me a much faster acceleration and made a good difference but i only ever got 45mph max going down a hill flat out with the wind behind me. The roller kit inc Kevlar belt was £70 inc postage from italy it was the Mallossi type. The little 50cc tought me a lot on riding before i upgraded so enjoy it.

i had one too , mine was a B reg one in white

some previous owner decided that it needed twin tailpipes from the exhaust and welded some bit of tube next to the original tailpipe

Felt like a right plonker when people were asking about it so i got hold of a 2nd hand exhaust from ebay " £5.00 "

that stopped the laughter about the exhaust
