Well done.

I managed to pass my driving test this morning despite getting 5 minors for "inappropriate use of speed". Mr. Green

Correct me if im wrong, but i thought if you get over 3 minors on the same thing, it counts as a Major, and you fail Wink

Well done to both of you. Smile Thumbs Up

I passed mine the other week, I'll admit the practicality is so useful. For me it's the only thing that could tempt me away from bikes, so I've booked my bike test sharpish too. Shocked Very Happy

Talking with my instructor after, examiners are allowed to use their discretion about pass/fail due to number of minors for the same thing, but usually it is 3 minors for the same thing = fail.

It didn't make much sense that he'd mark down 5 minors for speed and then still pass me, but I decided not to argue it seeing as it was my second test attempt and I'd failed the first for speeding. Laughing

Clapping Clapping Clapping Well Done Clapping Clapping Clapping

Its not three minors now a days, its nearer the 12 - 18 region I believe. I passed my test six months ago and got 6 minors. I'll dig out my pass certificate to check when I get the chance.

It's 11 I believe, on the car test. May be wrong. However the official procedure is that if you get more than 3 in one category it's a fail. But that's the examiner's discretion really. I should have failed for going 20 in a 30, but he decided it was a reasonable error.

i think if you generally drive/ride ok they are leniant on the "23mph in a 30mph zone"
I got away with it anyway. The traffic was really busy.

You'll have to learn how to actually drive now. Rolling Eyes They teach you how to pass your test, but hardly anyone actually drives like that. The trouble is, people often forget their mirrors are there altogether, and that's when we get bikers being knocked off when filtering.
