Today at college in our Communications lesson, we were all writeing reports to be handed in today. Then all of a sudden the teacher told us about a pupil she used to teach whom wrote a report on guitars and pinned this report on a guitar forum he visited.

One of the magazines, Kerrang or something found his report and decided they wanted to feature it in their magazine so they got the boys details, phoned him up and offered him £250 to have the report featured.

The boy said they could feature it but he didnt want money, but they sent him a cheque anyway and featured his report.

The morale of the story is if you younger lads write storys/reports on bikes, post it on the site and you never know it might be featured in mcn or some of these magazines and you could be £250 better of.

Thats my days helpful tip.

Very Happy

You could always write directly to them. I occasionally publish articles in the local paper, if I see something credible. I get 5p a word, and £8 for a picture, though at the money I get for it, it's more about being able to say I did it to any potential unviersity people or employer.

If you want to get published, used bike guide and the other one will take half decent articles.

Otherwise, the big publications are going to be very unlikely to for many reasons - at least not a random person of the street.
