New Bike.

I picked up a 54 plate GSXR600 today. I must say it rides a bit nicer than my K1, totally different bike. I find it a lot smoother going through the gears on the K4. With the K1 I feel as though you just get all the power delivered to you like a runaway train, it's a bit less brutal with the delivery on the K4. Not sure what the figures are but it certainly doesn't feel any faster than the K1. Seems a nice bike, I'm quite pleased so far. It's bog standard at the moment, but I'll definitely need to get a few attachments for it.

Well I don't really feel the need for the thou yet. I wouldn't mind the 750 actually, but there not that many to choose from and I'm not sure it's that much of a difference for the price really. Although it's another 600, it's the same bike in name only.

The brakes feel a lot better than the K1. Of course everything is newer as the bike has only done 2600 miles, but the K1 has just had new pads, braided hoses and the calipers stripped and cleaned, and the K4 ones are still better. I picked the bike up in Dundee, so it was motorway all the way. I'll need to get it out more to tell how it handles differently.

My old one is indeed up for sale, would be handy for you, you interested?

I probably would have taken it off you if I hadn't just dropped nearly 400 quid on parts to bring my 600 up to scratch. New job as well so depending on the askin price may be able to afford it.

I'm not in a hurry to sell, it's not advertised or anything. Not even sure how much I want for it.

Before I get my socket set out, would the can from my K1 fit my K4? They are both 4 bolt. I reckon I fancy a Yoshi Tri oval though. also need a double bubble screen and an undertray. Not sure if I can swap my crash bungs over either?

Very nice indeed. My mate has the same bike and he has an Akrapovic can on his, much better than the Yoshi in my opinion.
