This is the worse time of the year, many cyclists don't bother with lights. Some only have a rear light, some only a front light, it would be nice if they had BOTH lights so you can see them.

I lug one of these around london:

The thing i hate is cyclists pushing through red lights when i'm crossing with the ickle green man. I'm aiming to get someone with my heavy solid case......

Having said that, i love cycling in london. Such fun and faster than most things.

I couldn't believe my eyes last night. Waiting at some traffic lights in Northampton, this tosser on a bike, all done up in the lycra gear etc. with a little kid in a child seat on the back only goes and JUMPS THE RED LIGHT!

If he doesn't value his or other people's safety, then he should at least value the life of what presumably was his child.

I suspect cycling is similar to the process many go through with motorbikes. You first pass your test and doing 10mph over the speed limit seems bit naughty and 20mph + over you'd only do occasionaly.
Then you start turning the throttle a bit more and find that you neither get arrested nor mashed in of a car, so end up going faster and faster; to the point that many have tested out their deep-into-triple-figure top speeds on their bikes.
Tell many car drivers how you were doing 160 down the motorway and they'd be horrified, however empty it was.

In a similar manner
I don't see going through red lights specifically the problem - it's whether or not they are paying attention when they do that is the issue.
