I have a hard copy of the above map/atlas, it was given to me years ago and put into the back of a cupboard until now. Ihave no idea if it has any value at all and after searching for about an hour on google have come up with nothing much at all.

I do know it's a mid-century edition and was made by John Bartholomew and printed in 1958 via the times publishing. Now someone give me £'s for it. Wink

Its pretty usless to be honest. Most of Eastern Europe, Africa and parts of Asia have had names changes since the days of the Empire. Very Happy

It could be worth a couple of quid to a collector mind...

A silly idea maybe but have you looked on Ebay m8?

some of the things that are up may give a good idea of values.

I used to have old Grandparents but they died before I could sell them. Thumbs Down I reckon they were worth a bit.

Tried that Daz and also Amazon, I come across a couple of sites selling old maps for some nice looking prices but none containing a copy of mine, so it's either worth nothing or extremely rare and capable of buying me stuff, I'm at a dead end though.

I would say take it to an antique dealer or a second hand book shop, usually those types of people that will tell you what its worth. Thumbs Up

ebays not always best for stuff like that, usually doesn't get as recognised as much as it should. Thumbs Up

Get your hands on this :From a library or book shop

Usually a reasonably accurate valuation of collectable items.

Best place to look for an idea of the value of a rare book is Abebooks

You won't get good prices for rare books on Ebay or Amazon. You need to go to a proper book dealer.

If the book dealers think it's not worth much, you might strike lucky in 2008 with some clever marketing on ebay or whatever we'll have then. Somebody might want it for a 50th birthday present to show the birthday boy/girl what the world looked like when they were born.

I have some War publications from 1916, I wonder what they would be worth.

I was going to make a post but thought you'd refer me to Google. Laughing Embarassed
