Just a note,

Unless you embed or distribute them with a document you publish, people will not be able to see them.

Yeah if you plan to use obscure fonts over the internet, you'll have to embed them as images.

There's about 6k here though. All TrueType, so you can just slap the download files in your fonts folder.

If it helps, I wrote this guide to using FTP for a friend who is quite bad with computers. It uses SmartFTP as a base, but I've since moved over to FlashFXP.

FlashFXP is much better. The drag-and-drop-abilty makes it much easier to use. Also seems a lot quicker than others when transferring a lot of very small files.

EDITED: The file, to include the tip from Daz, which I didn't know. Thumbs Up

Just a quick point about your how too with flash m8,

If its a ftp your going to keep using its best to put the details in from the site manager located in SITES tab on the top tool bar,
when named it will then always show up in your lightening bolt quick connect every time you need to use that ftp server.

If you mentioned this i,m sorry for pointing out this point. Thumbs Up

It doesnt matter what application you use to ftp files you can only get your max download speed that your connection allows,
and flash will give you the very max download that you can get from your isp connection m8.

Of course that also depends on what the ftp server will allow you to have speed wise aswell, as most servers will cap its speed limits.

Just be aware that the more fonts you install the slower Windows will run. Try to keep it to the system fonts and fonts you intend to use don't just install fonts for the sake of it unless you want a PC that runs like a dog Wink

Cool site for brand name/movie/tv fonts etc. Most are free, though you do have to pay for a few of them.
