Your best bet would be to get hold of a haynes manual for the car, towards the back of them is full of wiring diagrams with colour for the individual circuits.

Failing that your going to need two people, a multimeter and a lot of patience.

Don't forget on the indicators you will need to get a relay added to the system.

Towbar wiring is (should be) standard, but there a few different types of connector. Assuming there is a single connector without split charging system, it should be as follows:

Pin 1 Yellow wire to L indicator
2 Blue to Fog Lamp
3 White to Chassis earth
4 Green to R indicator
5 Brown to R tail light
6 Red to Brake Lights
7 Black to L tail light

You'd be amazed how many people think they know better, and wire to their own pattern. Which is fine, if you never want to tow anything else and never want to use a different towing vehicle. Otherwise, all sorts of entertaining things happen when you plug it in, from wrong lights to meltdown Thumbs Down

Good luck.
