nsr125rk jc22 1989-1992 engine rebuild help!

hi, i want to rebuild the top engine piston rings etc as its done nearly 20,000kms and de coke engine to get better compression as top speed is not all there, what bits do i need to do all this and decoke, and how to do it , can i do it all myself??

yes if you've got a fairly dry and protect room . all you need it to be well organized and carefull , apart of that nothing complicated except may be the axis valves nut that you undo clockwise .
the crucial point , if you are going to change the piston , is the letter marked under the barrel (A to E) because you need a piston with the same letter . but i suggest you buy a barrel+piston kit and you will have a new top-engine . send me a pm with your mail and i will give you a copy of an estimate done by DSS for a friend of mine , and you will have details on references & prices

barrel and piston kit went for £107 on ebay better find a deal sometime soon maybe buy from dss if i cant find one:)

any chance i can get your old barrel and head jim?? im starting to think mine is gubbed and need a replacement to try it out.

hi , not sure if i need to change the head yet i think the kit from dss has the barrel and piston so maybe able to sell the barrel

no , you do not need to change the head but at £20 why not ? in france it costs about £130 which is ridiculous !

sounds good, i just need to save up about £170 to do the rebuild now but its not much really
