Can as many people as possible try out this file for me and see if it displays any words on their computer. I don't know what's going on with it I recently backed up all my work this week reinstalled windows now this word document containing my dissertation wont display words propperly like it can't find the font.

It's a 10 thousand word uni dissertation i'm working on that has to be finished 24th of this month. I have another version that I saved a while back but this has a good few hours work on it that i'll have to redo and it's still not finished yet. Be a big help if it works on someone elses computer.

I think the font I used on it was some kind of myriad font, I have myriad pro on here but I seem to remember it just saying myriad which I can't seem to download free anywhere.

If by any slim chance it works on someones computer if it could be copy and pasted into notepad as normal text and emailed to me (sam.barwick@ntlworld.com) that would be great. I only need the text as I haven't changed any of the pictures yet from the earlier backup I have (the one that works).

it's only a 1.77 mb word file (no virus's) click the download button on this link see if any part of it works for someone.

thanks
sam

Wont download for me. I was going to try running it through some of my older versions of word and a couple of database programs that sometimes get you the plain text out of all sorts of files. (I know this due to a bad habit of leaving floppy discs in the bottom of my rucksack when I was at uni. )

I'll keep trying.

I have it on my own server now if that's stopped working, you'll have to right click > save target as on this:
https://www.pre-auto.com/sambarwick/temp/S3D_G104204_-_magazine%20design.doc

It would be nice if it was something simple as a missing font but it doesn't seem likely as their was loads of pictures in the document that are now now showing atall.

Crying or Very sad cry's, I have an older backup I made with only a fe hours missing i'll have to redo by the looks of things. computers heh Surprised
