Every so often, on my pc, running xp, the internet browser will just close. sometimes it will pop up one of those error reporting things, and others times nothing.

It doesn't seem to matter what browser i'm using, netscape mozilla ie, and msn explorer all do it.

seems to happen on some sites more than others too. especially this one, annoyingly.

Any help people, would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happen when viewing a webpage that contains streaming media?

Do you have VLC installed?

Try www.opera.com

if you have a shitty Ad blocker installed then delete it as it may be closing a window that it thinks is a popup.

go to www.opera.com

you might want to consider doing a Smart scan of your PC using Adaware Pro Thumbs Up

Hi,

If you've associated that with all video files, then that'll be your problem.

If you view a video on a website where VLC is the helper application, then the website will close without warning.

Go to windows media player, options, and associated all files with it.

Then try again.

None of that helped, but the latest discovery is that it has something to do with uploading, and closes any browser i try.

done a system test on pc pitstop, and as soon as it got to upload speed, it disappeared. tried the test without upload, and it worked.

I'm still baffled...
