I had a CBR125 before the gixxer and it did get a bit hairy at high speeds in the corners, if your planning on keeping the bike a while then get some Bridgstone BT039's on it and that will help the handling a good bit, either that or start necking brave pills |

Yeah, interesting about those tyres for 125s. I know CGs usually have tubed tyres. What I don't know is if that means they have to have?
I wonder about the stability on a bigger bike. You feel more stable at speed I'm sure, but I genuinely worry about getting a big bike which is too heavy / large for me in all other situations. I'm 5'10'' and of average strength I think. I'd love to get a ZZR600 but (aside from price) they're supposed to be relatively heavy. Probably just something you learn with experience: how to handle the weight and size.
We've got to reserve judgement though haven't we! I'm itching for a bigger bike and I know when I ride it, it's going to feel great! A bit like when I first rode a bike full stop. "Woh, yeah, fresh air, throttle in my hand, ride 'em!" And that was just an SR125 on my CBT!
Actually, I've not really reserved judgement have I. I've made a prior positive judgement. Ah well...
It's just annoying it's all so expensive, eh?
Best
