Laughing Very Happy Smile Neutral

We joke about this in work a lot.

In work ( I work in a huge factory) we have pigeons nesting near the roof and feral (*sp) cats and rats live there too. Now the birds started getting sick a few weeks back, crashing into walls and sitting on the floor near people etc. They're obviously scared but can't fly off till they've rested and usually crash land.

The sick birds haven't been seen for a few days. We're assuming the sick ones have been eaten off the floor by the feral cats. But now the cats are getting sick. One dead cat was found yesterday! (They found it after a machine had cut it in two. But the machine is very slow and has a flashing light and a siren when in in use. A live cat would have run off. Plus the fact the cats hide during the daytime. So must have been dead or dying.) One of the lads went of sick this week with a bad cold and a chest infection. Shocked

Bird flu? Shifty

I,ve seen a couple of pigons getting sucked into a backwards runing industral gas extractor we were testing, sprayed pigon guts and feathers inside a aerosol gasing machine. Laughing

I guess your boss has already told you, but dont forget to clock out before you die. Also if you die in your own time make sure you ring in & let your supervisor know before 9am.

Dieing is a sackable offence and you may incure a penalty if you die without written permission.

I'd report it to your local DEFRA branch.........internet search should suffice....

Could be something other than flu but with mogs dying it may be a tad prudent...

Just in case, just think flip you could avert a major epidemic!!!
