I am using 1 and 1 microsoft hosting and want to setup a coppermine photo gallery, tried before and couldn't do it. Don't have a clue about what i have to do.

Anybody done it before or better still want to do it for me. I have £5.17 in my paypal account which could be sent as a donation if anyone wants to do it. Wink

Did you read the instructions?

Create database. Point installer at database. Press go.

As long as your space supports php and mysql it should be fine, I've installed loads of coppermine galleries on MS boxes.

Alas, that's most of your £5.17 spent, at my hourly consultancy rate. Razz

Microsoft hosting with 1and1

I have seen a few people on the coppermine forums that have it done. I think i have changed the permissions ok but now not sure how to setup a database, can only find information for linux hosting.

Also whenever i try /install.php it says the page is not there. Is that because there is no database??

Thumbs Up

depends, usually found that its because the permissions are set wrong or when you've been uploading its skipped a file. (my hosting is abit dodgey), i'll have a look when the shop clears up a bit

ok dude.

if you've got it in a folder say its called gallery and its in your main public_html folder. it would be this you'd go to .

www.my-web-site.com/gallery/install.php

if its not working. what have you got the permissons set to ??

just checked google. and you should get somthing like this https://www.choicetochoose.org/maciek/install.php

Very Happy

google is great for listing things you don't want others to see

This is what i get:

https://www.mark-tate.co.uk/cpg144/install.php

Through control panel on the 1and1 website i set the include and another folder (forgotten the name) files to write access.

Is it easier if you log in and have a look?? i can send you the login details.

cheers Thumbs Up

Looks as though php hasn't been installed on your server.

Have you checked your hosting provider to see if PHP and mysql is available.
