Is their anything you can do other than a defrag for a program that has crashed in the background of a windows system? I'm assuming it must be a crashed program that i've recently installed as it makes a strange ding noice as u start windows up and ive only just reinstalled windows a few weeks ago. Are their any programs that can remove it? I've got a feeling it's that msn 8 beta somebody sent me as it crashed my computer when i installed it (it's removed now).

I've tried removing any unnecessary programs in the startup of msconfig. The interent is rediculously slow now aswell but I have a feeling thats ntlworldofretards messing with their servers.

It's relatively powerful for a laptop @ 2.40ghz/550ram/40ghd and runs all my programs great usually.

Ok,

Close:

dfrgntfs.exe
btdownloadgui.exe
Babylon.exe
jusched.exe (You dont need that)
zlclient (Don't know what this is)
Adobelm_Cleanup.0001 (Looks like an installer gone wrong)
ePrompter.exe (What is this?)
isafe.exe (What is this?)
AIRPLUS.exe (What is this?)

And see if performance improves.

Personlly I think it's either btdownloadgui hashing a file in the background, that Adobe install, or one of the exe's I can't identify fucking up your machine.

Babylon.exe is just a simple program that runs in the background, it's like a built in thesauraus/dictionary/language translator/currency covertor etc i jsut right click on a word for it to translate. (ive used that for years)

zlclient is my virus protection software (Zone Alarm)
Adobelm_Cleanup.0001 is the disk defragmenter still running in the background.

ePrompter.exe is what I use for emails, it lets me read the emails before downloading, quite good actually as it'll bounce back any spam i choose not to download onto the computer.

AIRPLUS.exe is my wireless internet card poking out the side of the laptop

I'll give it a restart and try those other ones see what happens, I dont think it's the torrents im downloading as it's the same with or without them open (i've been running it for 2 days without them open and it's been the same).
