Hi,

Since I got my tankbag, I've been riding much more confidently... (Faster, filtering, etc)...

Why? I can't for the life of me figure it out, or is it just me being weird?

Because it feels like your current bicycle has bulked out a little? Laughing Wink

Get on a bigger bike and you'll be more confident. Just happens.

Toby

I'll go along with you on that..

My bike feels odd without it on, i have no pockets in my leathers so i ALWAYS ride with a tank bag, when its not on i feel odd.

I think i gives you the visual impression that your sat IN the bike as opposed to ON the bike when the bag is fitted.

(I think we're both weird) Mr. Green

Yeah Johnny,

I agree, I feel like I'm more a part of the bike with it on.

I dont feel comfortable when i've got a tankbag on. My yzf's has hardly any lock and feels top heavy enough as it is. When I fisrt used throwover panniers It felt great though. kept all the weight low down.

I noticed a similar thing when i rode with the front fairing removed. The bike felt skinnier and more exposed.

Not really. Lift up (flaps have magnets in them) and swivel it onto your handlebar / top yoke area. Thumbs Up takes 2 seconds.

Ooooorrrr...

Simply lift the flaps up and stick your gloves underneath it - therefore its nicely wedged upwards Smile

But thats coming from me who never wears gloves when im filling up...

I know what you mean Toby, im the same - ive had mine on now for about 7 months constantly. The 1 day i took it off - was the first time i had broken down in about 4 months. I saw that as a hint Wink

Used a Tank bag on the XL125 to london once. It was good cos it had the clear window in the top where I had my Ipod and a map. oh and the phone. So I could look at them whilst riding if I needed to.

However, i felt more comfortable on the bike WITHOUT the tank bag.

Nah Toby Smile your not being Weired, when I first looked at your post, I thought what? Very Happy then I quicky remembered how I felt when I had my GSX a couple 'o' years back, when we were touring up round Keilder & Cumbria, I felt more comfortable with the Tankbag on, Haven't had the pleasure of having on the VTR yet though Smile

Mine isn't a pain, it is clipped to a tank cover and hinges up at the head-stock and leans against my screen, piece of piss.

you've possibly confused Tank bag for Air bag....

which is a safety device, a tank bag is not.

Laughing

Kinda

I have a BAGLUX cover and an OXFORD bag with 'Baglux' clips fixed to it..
Its a very adaptable bag, carries loads and has a bumbag which zips off, you can also carry the lot as a rucksack.
