Could we get a place on the Forum where we could post proper technical guides which can't be replied to? Like the de-restriction guide or one for carb balancing etc. So we can use it as a reference instead of having a million posts about the same thing?

Erm, once again, this was all planned for the *website* Razz...which is, er, under construction...

However - it would be good if people could perhaps write up some of these technical guides...but first of all, how about telling me exactly what you want?

I was thinking along the lines of:

Insurance guides/tips
Licence/CBT guide
Owners bike database/reviews/pictures
Chain maintenance
Home-servicing guides (changing oil etc..)
Derestriction guides (for applicable bikes)
Storing bike over winter

etc...

[off topic]go book your test[/off topic]

I reckon this could be a good idea. General generic maintence section, and then specific bike ones.

If it's going to happen, I would write some stuff on some of the bits I know about (licenses, insurance, stuff like that)

So many ideas, so little time/ energy Rolling Eyes

It's be best if we had to submit it to someone for posting, rather than duplicate loads of posts.
I remember talking about the news-letter and the webby but it's still be handy to have it on here, like the old post archive Very Happy

That's why the website is taking so long...I'm basically developing a front and back end that will allow the "public" to submit stuff, and then the elected editors can just log-in and create a web page without the need for external web-programs.

It would be incredibly useful if people could actually submit a list of stuff that they would want to see from the website.

Thought it'd be quite good to have some 'FAQ' threads, where everyone adds there own opinions/advice... maybe witha seperate 'conclusion' kinda bit, drawing from all the posts.
