Congrats dude, i don't think i'd be brave enough to attempt a bottom end rebuild!

I shat myself taking the cylinder head off mine! Check out my thread.

It wasnt that bad really, the hardest bit was when the cases were stripped I had to mask all the gasket / bearing surfaces before respraying them.

Why spoil the original paintwork ? its nearly 15 years old and not one sratch or chip, you obviously dont appreciate a future classic !

Theres always one aaargh !

Respraying the engine?

Yeh i wanted to do that, but didn't have the time, my engine's a total mess!

The alternator case is scratched to w*nkery.

Ah well my next project should produce better results.

They're underrated bikes, I had a 1995 myself (Most people think the first GSXR750 was made in 1996 Smile ) maybe a tad on the heavy side but you barely notice it when you're riding, always dreamed of a 7/11 when I had it.

Your wrong mate, bandits engines are air / oil cooled and the design came from the early GSXR's, the WN model was the first watercooled GSXR and doesnt share anything in common with a bandit engine apart from the odd nut & bolt.
