I've just watched the replay on Fifth Gear where a Duke 999 beat a Gallardo, and I remember seeing a supercar on the M42 on the way home from work today. I only saw it in my mirror cause I started filtering, but I'm still not sure what it was.

It looked very much like the Toyota GT1, but I really dont think it was. It had the same kind of dimensions, even down to the F1 style front, but a little bit curvier. Any ideas on what it might have been?

Confused Zonda? It has the same sort of single-person central hump. That's all I can think of.

Not an Enzo, I would have clocked that straight away. Not the JP1 either. I can't recall whether it was one or two seater, but same style as the GT1. Not the C12 either, I would have known from the headlights. It's bugging me now. It could have been the GT1, but I never thought I would have seen one in the flesh, so to speak.

If it looked like the Toyota GT1 then I'd be thinking along the lines of this

Or

My money is on the Stealth, or maybe the Radical, more likely the SR4 though, rather than the SR3, with the front being as you said it looked. Wink

Not the Radical SR3 or SR4. Could very well have been the stealth, but I need to see one in red, cause I can only find pictures of it in black. Razz

Could it have been an Ascari?

Kristie and I saw one on our way to Oxford and it was being test driven - the guy driving it was young and in overalls..

We did nearly crash.. I was doing my best to stay level with the thing so Kristie could take photographs.

"Could you pull forwards a little so I can get the bonnet?"

"Oh, no, back a bit, I want the wheel in"

etc.

All the time the guy driving it was just grinning like a cheshire cat (and wouldn't you be?!)

From behind and from a distance we couldn't decide what it was and spent a while arguing over the fact that it had ferarri-like tail lights, yet a Lotus style spoiler... Drooling

Not the Ascari. It's dead sexy though, particulalry the KZ1R. Those curves are gorgeous. I much prefer the curvy lines rather than the more angular look of say the Murcielago.
