Right, basically had a problem with a chipped tooth in November, I left it for ages, and got the most painful gum infection I've ever experienced in my life.

After about 2 months of emergency appointment I got temporary fillings and managed to get full appointments and registered to a Dentist.

I had to the miss the appointments that were allocated to me due to commitments that were out of my control.

Went to the pub a couple of days ago (I noticed the tempory filling had come out about 5 days ago, so have been using peroxide mouthwash and laying off of the sugary foods) and noticed that I have a large lump on the side of my face underneath my tooth (Abcess?)

Phoned Dentist at 8.00 this morning and asked for an appointment, only to be told to come in a 2.15 and wait if there's one free, but it'll be emergency treatment only.

Just phoned them back now to see whether it was worth waiting for an appointment to come up instead of getting emergency treatment. And they said I'd be waiting til June for a full one...

June?! For a fucking abcess? They're having a laugh.

Can't you just like pop the abcess with a sharp pin or summin?

My brother pulled a tooth out once with his leatherman.... Shocked

Give him a fucking medal then.

Just been, flush out crap with antiseptic mouthwash, plugged with ANOTHER temp filling, given antibiotics and booked in for JULY to get it sorted.

I used to have perfect teeth too... *sigh*

Get your dental checkup and non emergency work done when you go on holidays abroad. I've always done that. Cheap as chips, and excellent quality of care if you find a good dentist. Appointments can be had in hours, and most procedures take a few hours at the very most.

I am painfully reminded of a Kaiser Chiefs lyric: Sick

'Suck more blood than a backstreet dentist'

At least ask at the hotel what the quality of treatment is like over there! Shocked

I have holes in my teeth, the top 2 second back from the front, and likewise on the bottom set. When I stick my fingernail in the groove it hurts. I had some fugine put in there a while ago and have been told it will " re-moleculise" sureley teeth dont rebuild themselves??

Dental pain is the worst.

Closely followed by a football in the balls.

...closely...

I've got to have 4 teeth out, I'm not looking forward to it whatsoever!
