But buels aren't harleys, only the engine (which i suspect has been tinkered with a fair bit too)..
If its not a main transport and only for tarting then i can see the appeal.. they do hold their value well so when you decide you hate it you can flog it on ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Rode one, was a sportster they vibrate but not to the point that makes you ache, If you want it for long miles there perfect. I have been told they burn abit of oil mind.
This bike was a '95 1200 and had the straight through pipes and they're pretty loud ear plugs a must lol. The throttle works and there pretty damn tourqy.
I dont like them for the image but I would own one for big miles any day. And they do go round corners.
Our neighbour behind us has one of these:

And that is truely a nice bike when you look at it.
And not to sound a retard but what do you mean by rewarding? ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

Robby, If I were into cruisers, I'd buy a HD 1200 Sportster sport.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Well look no further than an iron-engined, Russian made 650 flat twin.
They rattle, misfire and vibrate their way up to around 65mph. The gearbox would be well suited in a 1920's tractor and the brakes are truly appaling. They require constant (but simple) maintainance weigh a ton and handle like an oil tanker.
In short, everything an old harley does at a fraction of the cost.
Do not confuse it with the newer, alloy engined, 750cc model. These have round bearings, disc brakes, 12v electrics and an adequate oiling system, nowhere near as much of a cunt. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
