You're right Danny, Mythbusters proved it to be a fake. I also strongly disbelieve lighting body gas, it's stupid, and not funny.

A woman decided at the last minute to get a quick tan for a special occasion. When she found out about the limits the salons set on their tanning beds, she signed up at several different tanning salons. A few days later, her husband told her she "smelled funny". She showered and showered but the smell wouldn't go away. When she finally went to the doctor he ran some tests and told her: "I'm sorry, it seems you've microwaved your internal organs, there's nothing we can do for you."

Microwaves and ultra violet light are completely different and at opposite ends of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum, so this just wouldn't happen, the only thing she would probably do is give herself a good dose of skin cancer.

You can light your farts. Best advice is to keep your trousers on though. The material acts as a flame barrier which prevents you burning your bum. Thumbs Up

I seem to remember them doing this on Brainiac recently, they said that only 1 in 3 people have combustible farts Shocked.

When I was serving in the RAF, we did some HF Comms training (long range radio's). As part of the training, we took a trip to an operational transmitter site near Brize Norton so we could see a working set up. Over lunch we were talking with one of the older guys that had been at the site for years, and he told us the following:

During the CND protests in the mid 80's, while the tree huggers were picketing Greenham, they also protested at this transmitter site. One afternoon, one of the male protestors broke in to the aerial farm and decided to climb one of the masts. This wouldn't be too much of a problem at the receiver station, but this was a transmitting station, so this mast was kicking out a lot of power. He had been up there for about 20 mins before anyone noticed and the transmitters were turned off. When the MOD Police got him down, they took him to hospital. He died in great pain 2 days later as he had been cooked from the inside by the power kicking out of the transmitter.

I was never sure if I should believe him or not, but I have heard the same story, always originating the same unit from many different people - so you never know, it could be true Confused
