Here's an interesting one!!
I received last week a letter from Domain Registry of America details of a web address - inviting a 'Mr Dustin Powers' to renew two web addresses. Having checked the addresses, neither have a website and a whois search showed me that he had used his name based at my home address for these URLs. I rang Domain Registry of America who told me to contact yesnic.com who registered the addresses - I sent them an email and had no response and a subsequent search on the web suggests to me that they are a decidely dodgy company based in Korea!! I have rung the Police who say it's a common thing and if you have not been materially harmed then there's no crime. I imagine Mr. Powers is using the addresses for spam.
I want the addresses not to be assigned to my home address - how do I do that? ____________________ Using a mobile phone while driving a car should be made a capital offence! |
