Thats shit, Marshals are what make the sport alot safer, if they werent there, racing would of been banned along time ago. Im sure he was a racing fan and died doing what he loved doing.

shit, the guy i bought my bike off does a bit of marshalling and he lives near there. I hope it wasnt him.

Probably not, but if anyone knows the name of the marshall who died, pls post it.

Not the first time one of us marhalls been killed , Sad and won,t be the last probably !! Evil or Very Mad As a fellow marshall of 5 years and being seriously injured just last year -effectively who is held responsible ?? In my case Scottish racing , ie SACU -but refused to accept blame - Evil or Very Mad !pass the buck " my sympathies are with the family as i do know the work , all free that is associated with marshalling -perhaps the "fat cats" who "control " the set up re racing , marshalling , shud get off their fats -and try it for even just one day ??!!!Remeber IOM last year ?? 4 marshalls killed , MCN went "undercover " -appauling how quickly YOU can sign on as a "marshall " -be you 16 -60 , with NO experience but harder to get the answers when it goes "wrong" -catchh 22 -sign on as "fit" , be injured or killed -red tape states , so long as you sign on as FIT -then the buck is left with you !!! My prayers are with you , Mandy , BDB -now EX marshall as will never give up 5 mins of MY time for free -let alone ANOTHER 5 years !! Thumbs Down Mad
