Right,

I bought a charger & realised that i have other things to pay that are getting taken out of my account this week, ebay fees, Ntl etc anyway i can't afford to now buy this battery that i already paid for using Paypal, i bought it today & wondering if i take out all my funds in my bank will Paypal still take out the money for the charger (Will it go to -£40) Just wondering as i have to go shopping in a minute & don't want them taking money that's not in my account. If the buyer does agree to refund me how will this work if the money hasn't come out of my account yet?

Sorry if it's a bit confusing.

Chris.

I expect the money will be rejected and will come up as an unpaid direct debit on your account. FYI this seriously damages your credit rating, as I found when I tried to get an overdraft with my current bank.

If there's no money in your account and none in the backup source (bank account) it will be taken back, the seller won't get their money unless you send it again. I once didn't realise this and got a load of DVDRs for free, they never chased it up. Confused

no, he would need to decline the payment, if he's already accepted it then its too late and it wont be refunded for several days

If the money hasn't come out of your account yet, you can just take all the money out and it will stop the payment, unless you have an overdraft.

Eh?

Unless the charger is faulty, most likely you're stuck with the thing now!

When you send money, Your sending it to paypal then they send it to the seller. When you pay for something paypal basically checks to see if you have enough in your account, if you do, then paypal sends their own money to the SELLER, as it takes a while (up to 9 days) for the money to come out of your account. You can go in the red with paypal as i done with £40 one time, by accident of course Razz

I thought i'd ignore the emails "just to see what happened" and I got letters in the post threatening legal action if I did not pay within 90 days. I bought a new case for my computer and had it for around 3 months before I paid anything, which was nice.

BUT! I noticed that ebay are now doing a "buy it now, pay later" thing. Alough ive only seen that on american items
