When I was young, I saw a film on TV which I really liked and would like to find out what it's called.

All I know about it, is it was about a boy and a girl who somehow got stranded in the Australian desert (I think they were with a parent who either died, left them there or got killed in a car crash), they met an Aboriginal type chap who showed them how to hunt and find water.

I know this isn't a lot to go on, but it might ring some bells with someone. I think I saw it mid 90's, but it could have even been late 80's.

A cookie goes to the first person who names it!

Walkabout?

Seem to remember reading a book along those lines.

In my experience those films that you loved when you were younger are never the same when viewed through the cynical eyes of an adult!
It's best not to watch it!

Yeah, like Star Wars, what a load of shit that is in retrospect.

I'd go with Walkabout too.
Funny enough the only thing I can remember about that film is Jenny Agutter is naked Wink Shocked

One of those strange coming of age type movies where the camera stays on someone's face for ages. That technique reminds me similar to the early Spagetti westerns.
