Love the white suit. I like the grey but not so keen on the red embelishments on the lapel edges. Of course thats just personal opinion.
See you on the dance floor.......

I bought the Fujifilm X-T30 mark II digital camera. My father recently showed interest in photography, so I decided to give him my old Fujifilm X-T200 digital camera and buy me a new one.
Initially I had my eye on much more expensive Fujifilm cameras, but after about 5 days of reading and comparing stuff I came to a conclusion that all of them use the same X-trans IV sensor and processor, and that all of them produce the same image quality pictures, and I really mean the same (resolution, colour, dynamic range...). The more expensive stuff just has other extra features that I don't necessarily need, mainly advanced video features of all sorts.
Anyway, new camera day. The X-T30 mark II is just slightly better in everything than the X-T200 and it's not a huge technological leap, but it is a noticeable upgrade nonetheless. A few things to point out would be the 100fps EVF (nice stuff) and better auto focus that got faster, more accurate and even more confident in dark scenes. The sensor is also faster, with higher sensitivity and dynamic range. The X-T200 doesn't use the X-trans sensor. For jpegs the X-T30 mark II has much more features to customise the look of your straight out of the camera pictures. It does much bigger uncompressed raw files too, if that's what you want. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

After 20 years of adjusting drive chains, sometimes first time, more often after a few goes, I’ve learned not to undo the axle nut too far (because it squeezes the swingarm ends together a fraction when done back up, thus increasing the chain length), but last week I struggled to get the tension right and then while in Halfords, I noticed the ‘Chain Monkey’ tensioning device. They’ve had it on their shelves for well over a year so I figured there must be something in it. Wrong!
It’s a well made thing but the recommended settings cover too many variables. There are only two chain types (heights) each encompassing a range of 4mm, and then each chain slack setting covers a range of 12mm when my ZX6R manual recommends a range which straddles setting 1 and 2 (of 5). Such imprecision combined with the very small adjustments typically required at the swingarm ends made it useless. My chain was clearly too slack but the device suggested it was fine. Straight into the scrap bucket and destined for the tip. Pricey too. I’ve expressed cynicism about this device before, but I was suckered in. Fool! |

Just ordered some bar end mirrors for the Meteor. Had a tryout on my local dealer's demonstrator, and I could see everything without a hint of elbows ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.
