Last update, the bike is finished (for now).Very Happy I'm going to try & start it at the weekend, I'll clamp a bit of hose pipe to the exhaust & run it out the window. Wish me luck.

A little update:

I had the bike running today. Unfortunately there is petrol pissing out of the carb & it blows back every now & then. Shocked It's definitely over fuelling although I haven't touched the previous settings. Once running it runs really well any ideas?? Confused The exhaust is really noisy as well I'm guessing I should've coated the new gasket in fire gum?

Release agent on:

Gel coat on:

First layer done:

The petrol problem on the bike is now sorted, just needed petrol running through the carb to expand the seals. Thumbs Up The exhaust is also sorted (I had the gasket in the wrong place Shifty ) MOT booked for saturday, just hope the weather gets better. Thumbs Up

The indicator came loose & is now sorted, the D-lock is for extra security. I've no intention of changing the mirrors as they are original suzuki items & are very rare. If you're trying to insult my bike with your botched MS paint diagram I'm not going to take criticism from someone who completely butchered & made a real mess out of a classic 2stroke sports bike just lol! Laughing

Went out yesterday & the bloody chain snapped 15miles from home started pushing it & luckily a guy stopped on his duke ST2 he then went all the way home to get his car & bike trailer & came all the way back just to load my bike up & drop me home, didn't even want anything either. Stella bloke! As for the bike the chain has completely annihilated the hugger/chain guard so I've got to make a new one. Evil or Very Mad

After removing the hugger I decided it wasn't too bad after all so cut the damaged bit off put it into the mould & laminated a new section to the original. Thumbs Up

Well I fitted the bellypan today...err...hasn't turned out quite as I expected. I'm fairly pleased with the result just not sure of the distance between the frame. Rolling Eyes Embarassed Also fiddled with the PVs & the bike is much better although still not as fast as I remember them to be. More fine tuning I suppose. Thumbs Up

See what you mean about the belly pan dude. It's still looking very very good though! I think if you painted the mounting brackets the same black as the frame, and added a small white flyscreen above the headlamp it would look very cool!

How does it run now? Are you still planning on fitting the 150cc top end at some point?

Your's and Mugen's 125's are the best small bike projects i've read about for a long time on BCF! Thumbs Up

Thanks for the compliment. The bike runs ok but I think it might be running a bit rich, will get a couple of new plugs & do some plug chops. The 150cc kit will be for future tinkering. Thumbs Up

BenR

I just wanted to say Wow!!

I've read the full thread and I'm really impressed.

Do you still have the moulds for the rear hugger and the belly pan?

I'm currently restoring a Wolf myself and would happily buy one of each from you. I may even want 2 rear huggers.
