Theres a lot of 'top trumps' bikers on BCF.

Fact is the 250 is getting excellent reviews in every single magazine, but it seems now that no one wants to take an intermediate step, instead jumping straight to a 600 from their test.

I was in Glasgow a few months ago on the ZX10R and one of these pulled up to me at the lights, it was woman who loved the bike said she was a short arse and the bike was perfect for her. Looked pretty comfy not really my thing but she seemed to really like it.

Did consider a Ninja 250r but seemed pointless in the end -
Restrict the ER-6 for two years - then off it comes and its like having a new bike without the hassle/cost of trading up - plus you're already used to size/handling of the machine.

Apparently a lot are of the opinion, if a 250twin like this is the bike after passing A2, you'll soon craving more power than bike can give.

Exactly what i have done.

Was told by the dealer not to bother buying the 250r as i will get bored of the power in a couple of months.

I think it's important to take each bike for it's merits.

Not everyone wants to go 200mph down the high street, and some people will like small, light bikes (I know someone who specifically wanted a smaller bike, like a 400, due to their height). I'm sure Kawasaki didn't just make this bike 'hoping' to sell some, they obviously found that it was a viable market, even if it isn't going to be the biggest, or as big as 600 market.

Either way, the bike was built to fulfill a specification and niche, which isn't to be/beat/better/compete with sport 600s.

Afterall, no-one compares Evo's to Fiestas.

We have had a few turn up on the this over the past few weeks.
Looks nice, sounds awesome with a small blueflame can -
Ideal for the shorter female rider.
Look wise - Looks ok, but bars are to high which IMO makes it looks shyte - and im not the only one to comment on this at work and other people.
