I was in Glasgow a few months ago on the ZX10R and one of these pulled up to me at the lights, it was woman who loved the bike said she was a short arse and the bike was perfect for her. Looked pretty comfy not really my thing but she seemed to really like it. ____________________ Current: 2019 Yamaha T7 -> 2015 KTM Superduke R | 2000 Yamaha R1 Past -> 2009 KTM 990 SM -> 2005 kawasaki ZX10r -> 2000 Honda CBR 600 FY -> 2002 Honda XLV 125 Varadero

I think it's important to take each bike for it's merits.
Not everyone wants to go 200mph down the high street, and some people will like small, light bikes (I know someone who specifically wanted a smaller bike, like a 400, due to their height). I'm sure Kawasaki didn't just make this bike 'hoping' to sell some, they obviously found that it was a viable market, even if it isn't going to be the biggest, or as big as 600 market.
Either way, the bike was built to fulfill a specification and niche, which isn't to be/beat/better/compete with sport 600s.
Afterall, no-one compares Evo's to Fiestas. ____________________ CBR125R '05 > CB500 '00 > CBR600F '99 |
