After a time away from Ghost Of Tsushima, I'm back playing it and part way through the 2nd chapter, about 7 hours in. Brilliant, totally brilliant.

Finished Alan Wake, bloody excellent.

I'm now on Far Cry 6 which is nowhere near as much fun as Far Cry 5. It just feels like a step back in so many ways. It's as if the devs looked at Far Cry 4 and went "We want that again but set somewhere else!". Of course it looks nice and runs surprisingly well on my ancient PC but it's just got something missing.

I couldn't get over how I was supposed to take a cunt with a man bun as a serious antagonist in FC5. Shite game in my honest opinion. I preferred FC6 to FC5 but neither of them even come close to how good FC4 was.

FC4 > FC3 > FC6 > FC5 > FC2 > FC1 is my ranking.

FC4 is good, it's my entry into the series (despite owning the original Far Cry and playing it for about 5 mins years ago). But 5 is clearly superior. The Grinding in 4 is bad, and 5 sorted that. Plus the rural US setting adds a much more unsettling tone to the whole thing. You know it shouldn't be like that because it's a developed western nation, but it nevertheless is. I think the power of the David Kores... I mean Joseph Seed character IS that he's not physically imposing but is able to indoctrinate his followers to the point where they'd die for him.

So far 6 has an interesting villain, but the plan doesn't seem anything special, I can't see the ending being as mind blowing as 5, and the main characters and allies are a touch bland. Maybe it gets better, I don't know?

Primal was dogshit. Not even going to consider it a Far Cry game. It's FC's equivalent to AC's Unity game. Dog shit. Utter. Fucking. Dog shit.

Armored Core VI, is very good and will suffice until Gamepass Starfield and Spiderman 2 are released.

Grabbed Starfield from piratebay, it's actually not too bad. I'm not a single player game lover but this is actually enjoyable.

Flying is a bit shit though.

I thought about it but the Gamepass release is a few days away, plus although my PC is OK and meets required specs, I'd rather play it in 4k on my Series X and have all the patches downloadable when times serves rather than having to keep downloading spurious cracks and patches.

I'll probably buy it. Like Cyberpunk 2077 it'll be patch, patch, patch and keeping up with that via... errr.... unofficial sources is tiresome.

Returnal on PC.

I've got it on PS5, but always thought it would be amazing with a mouse and keyboard, and it really is. Also looks even better on PC, looks absolutely stunning at Epic settings 1440p.

It's only because I'm not paying for the preorder early access basically robbing me to play early.

It's preloaded already legitimately, the same is a local file so it's not a problem. Patches on cracked games these days are much better now.

Anything I really play often I always pay for but I wait a few months till it's in a sale. There may be a skull n' crossbones flag visible in the interim Wink Also by that time it should be patched to a reasonable state. I would be tempted to buy Starfield straight away but given my PC is complete potato it'd be a waste of time.

I specced out what I though was a somewhat reasonable 13th Gen i5, RTX4060 gaming rig for 1080p gaming and I'm up to over a grand so far. I might consider going down the AMD route for a change, the RX 7600 being a marginally better proposition.

Star wars arcade and virtua racing on the 32x.

It's certainly the best version of virtua racing. The saturn port was disappointing.

Last attempt at Witcher 3 I unravelled with quest overload. I think I got somewhere in the 20's and just had a stack of grey quests Sad

I've put about 20 minutes into Starfield, not had a proper chance yet!
