TBH I say that about most lower-lifeforms.

When she was 4 my granddaughter was talking about ducks and I just automatically went "mmm... thems tasty" and she came back with:

"Yes, and if you take the fur off there's chicken inside."

Turtle in the desert? I had to look into that. Lots of strange answers but one did mention imagination and to take Valium so I'll go with that.

You plugged this scoot into the mains yet?

No, batteries had leaked were ripped out violently and binned.

I should get some cheap ones turn up today. After a quick cable repair it'll be good to go!

Is it something you can replace with Lithium batteries?

Don't know if you've noticed but that chain needs to be cleaned using WD40. You know, because it's not that obvious, and you could have missed it. Rust is the orange looking stuff... If you're struggling I'll highlight it in the picture for you. Thumbs Up

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I did consider this. But then I started imagining changing the controller, upgrading the motor. Swapping the brake lever from plastic to metal. Upgrading the throttle. Treating the rusty bits (other than the chain!) and then I thought....

F*ck that, let's just get it running! £25 for batteries, as I've said.

I've had other stuff donated to me and had grand plans go up in smoke after the first test ride.

Those motors are a bit pants. Mass produced and made poorly - they do work though. They're OK for kids toys.

I think Douglas Park Motorrad, E. Kilbride still sell those Clagoway bikes.
I have seen a lot of durty arseholes on R1200GS bikes going there. 😀

It's alive! ALIVE!!!

Wiring fixed, batteries only just fit. Covered the inside of the battery cases with Kapton tape and then put some extra insulation on the battery terminals just to be on the safe side.

Powered up, motor runs...

TO DO:

The chain is beyond salvaging. I gave it a good long soak but one of the links is completely seized up Sad Good enough for a test flight though.

One of the inner tubes is also gone: around the valve stem Sad I've bodged it with a patch and some epoxy; fingers crossed it lasts long enough to get up the road and back.

I'll order some spares after testing tomorrow. If you don't hear back from me I'll bequeath the scooter to Sister Sledge Very Happy

Desert - Antarctica.

The chain is the same as a bicycle one - not the narrow racing type.
Those motors are so weak that if you put your finger between the chain and sprocket, the motor would stall. Would you dare do it??

Finally, I don't want it but have heard they make great surf boards. Surf boards can slip from under you so make sure to tie a rope between it and your leg before jumping into the sea.

How about...

Umm. I'm shaped by events around me. Sure my mind is the most powerful thing about me but life shapes us not our minds - if our minds shaped us then we'd all be vegetables because the mind needs input to function. Just saying.

Verse, quotes and lies (bible) will not tame me and nor will it control me - a BJ will.
Are you local?

We just had a traumatic episode with a Duck and some cnut who likes the little drips of water that fall from clouds.
