I work at GoCompare making the website/ software, none of the customer support people will be able to give you an answer on why prices are the way they are. It's nothing to do with the comparison site though, you'd be better off asking the insurer why they increase the price but it's all just going to come down to their data analysis and I bet you wont even get a good answer.

I had a good chat to a chap at Onecall last year, perhaps he was second-line or further, though. We'll see. I will relay any or no info, as the case may be.

You deal with the software? Go on, put a little Easter Egg in there for we responsible ones (!), you know you want to! Well, I know you can't, for at least two reasons, but it's a nice thought...

I've found it always more expensive when you go directly to an insurer, probably because they can get away with charging more now your not comparing it with others.

The swine! That could be the reason.

Unfortunately I cant sneak anything in Sad

Would be interesting to see what you find out. You've got more patience than I do, I hate talking to insurers Laughing

We talked of sheds, mainly. What constitutes a garage, where it should be, and what it should be made of, digressing into planning permission and what to do about scrotes stealing motorbikes. He was most enthusiastic, I wishe there were more like him in the world. It wasn't really to do with the difference between TPO/TPFT/FC, although that was touched on (when I asked about garaging, when of course he said "We don't care where you keep it if it's TPO").

I would also say that there is no "best" insurance. The best thing you can do is to compare differnent offers and companies, read through reviews and so on. This article is very helpful about finding the best insurance, it's in German but you can easily translate it with GoogleTranslate or whatever app you want to use:https://www.meisterbob.de/versicherungsvergleiche/
