Reported 'banging noises' at 30 minute intervals apparently, so perhaps not.

Mind you I bet oxygen reserves are calculated for normal calm breathing, which probably they are not.

The sensible thing to do when running out of air is to draw straws. 3 sacrifice themselves so 2 can live a bit longer.

How though? You can't do a Captain Oates and walk (swim) off to die because you can't get out. Get one of the others to kill you? Great, if he gets rescued he spends the next 30 years inside for murder and that's if said person could even do it.

Being billionaires, I suspect the chances are high that they would and could stand on the shoulders of someone else to prevent themselves drowning. Fair chance it's not the first time they've killed someone for personal gain, albeit less directly.

"In the documents, Mr. Lochridge reported learning that the viewport that lets passengers see outside the craft was only certified to work in depths of up to 1,300 meters.

That is far less than would be necessary for trips to the Titanic, which is nearly 4,000 meters below the ocean’s surface."

That will probably sink Oceangate.

Glass rated for 131 Bar in a vessel going down to a pressure of 401 Bar, with a hull that has had no pressure testing and is piloted with a logitech wireless games controller? What could possible go wrong Rolling Eyes Laughing

I bet james cameron is eying up footage for another titanic movie

The guy who found the wreck, Robert Ballard, will probably pickup a contract to go look for the submersible. And then another documentary a out it.
Then a movie.

If The RNLI get to know that there's two Pakistanis on board, they'll soon find it and tow it into Dover.

Lots of bad taste jokes and memes going around about the poor souls trapped in that submersible. How can people
sink so low?

It occurs to me there maybe an element of the hubris of the rich, "im rich therefore I must be the kind of person who makes good decisions therefore getting in an experimental vehicle with no backup will be just fine".
