I am new to this site so first and foremost hello all
I have been following this post for a while as I am also currently undergoing my own Honda H100 project. I am going more along the café racer style route but am always up for a little bit of fettling to get a bit more poke out of the little fella
The bike is a 1987 D reg H100 S2 and the only performance mods I was planning was a 16t front sprocket, Performance reed valve, race air filter and removed baffle as the reduced weight on the bike should give me a bit of increased top end speed anyway.
But then I saw the Athena 125cc kit on this post!!!
So CB1, what does this kit do to top end and acceleration and is it worth it for the increased costs & fettling needed? I would be made up if I could get the bike to get to 75 - 80 mph.
I may even park the CBR600RR up a little more........ |

Take the baffle out of the OEM pipe and you loose power
Reed valves a good shout but not a prioity
Standard airbox is fine in this weather or itll start mucking about.
Weight means next to nothing.
Whip the top end off, decoke it, new piston/rings/little end, then get the files out. Widen the exhaust port out above the top half of it. You want the bottom half oval and the top half square and raised by 1-2mm. smooth all the exhaust port out and bop it back together. Clean the air filter, oil it and up the main to a 130, time the oil pump back up and it'll run a GPS confirmed 79mph - with my motocross boots, lid, armour strapped to the back.
Then work on a pipe. Bore kits, race filters and reed valves after ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
