er ^

No idea what he's on about.

I'm TPFT on my bike, always have been when I got it £5k, I figured if I'm going to crash it'll be some poxy roundabout at 6mph and will be replacing a lever or two, or it'll be balls out and I'll be in hospital for 6 months.

Risk we take, considering my insurance is £228 TPFT I can put the saved money away just in case.

Went from an 11bhp YBR to a 105bhp CBR6FV, that was a bit of a shock, then from the FV to an RR, also a shock!

Not sure I see where the issue is tbh, just don't try to ride them all the same way

Wha? I've spent 16 years on 2 stroke dirt bikes, 7 of those on a 125 road bike, ill be spending these two years on a restricted 600, then the final year of finance at 100bhp.... Then IF i can afford to/have saved enough for a thou, then i shall move up. Might enjoy having 100 ponies for a little while yet.

I've known people pass DAS, spunk £10,000+ on a brand new thou on tpft with no problems? Stop worrying about what im doing and just enjoy yourself dude..... Sheesh.

Lovely bike mate. Would be a lovely a feeling getting a bike from new but I prefer the feeling of getting a bargain. Can find bikes with less than £3K on the clocks for half the showroom price sometimes. Nonetheless, I think we'd all go new if we could.

What are the differences between the FF and RR? Just riding position or is it detuned also?

Same engine as the 2007+ RR but more midrange at the expense of top end. Riding position is unbelievably comfortable.

No closer to Arrow pipes just yet, may have some by the end of the year.

Ah, sounds a bit like what the FZ6 is to the R6.

Hornet sounds more like the FZ6 imo. Although saying that, the CBR6f is pretty much a fully dressed Hornet with clip ons.

Looks a lot better with the tail tidy Carlos.

Really don't understand why people insure bikes fully comp unless it's really cheap?

*Just insured a brand new £10,000 bike TPFT.

UMADBRO? This obviously means you are going to crash it and be ten grand out of pocket. Why won't we think of the kittens?

The bike look nice, but personally if I had £7k to spend on a bike I would buy something much much better Wink

I think I need to buy something newer, because I'm kinda bored with ZX6R and often cannot be arsed to ride even when the weather is nice... bad sign Neutral

If a fully comp insurance would cost you £3k then fair play. If you smash the fairings then to buy them will cost you less than that. Of course the bike can be totalled in accident, but I would take that risk. I wouldn't pay any silly money for insurance.

Probably because the file size is too big. Upload it to photobucket, then post the link here.

What i don't understand is why only have tpft and then spend a fortune on mods, why have a rrestricted license instead of going for the full buhna unless it's age related?

I'd be physically sick in my helmetl, riding about in a brand new bike with 3rd party insurance, if I was you in would of bought a bike no more than 2k and took it to a reputable garage and paid the guys to look over it with a fine toothcomb, your never gonna push that bike near it's limits for 2 years and all its doing in depreciating, and you said your gonna jump on a blade in 2 years im sorry but going from 33bhp to 170bhp it's just not a good idea don't become a statistic you have your whole life to learn to go fast on a bike.

I went from 0 to 148bhp and rode TPFT in my first year of having a license, I'm still here........ on my second year of two wheels now and fully comp is now a reasonable price Smile

It's not about the bike or the level of insurance you pay for, it's about good obs and knowing when to slacken the right wrist off

OP how much were your levers and where you buy from? I'm using chinese at the mo, they're okay but they don't feel anywhere as sturdy as I'd like.
