Rode it to work, saw 22000 miles and thought "only 2k miles until my next service" Sad

24k is brake fluid and oil i think

*Edit* Brake fluid, Coolant and Oil change, even though I change my oil every 4k miles instead of 8.

Bet Honda will want £200ish to do it too!

adjusted float heights on the 6/12, how it idles below 2k which is quite nice, makes town riding a lot easier.

still needs another tweak i think but that can wait til ive done another plug chop in a day or 2. priority for now is strip down the er5 engine out of my mates bike to see just how fucked the head gasket is.

Cheers
John

stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance.

Fitted my new exhaust at the weekend. SP Engineering carbon stubby. Sounds brilliant, very loud with the db killer out!

Also cleaned the chain, and lubed with ep90 (thanks for the tip). Gave the bike a bit of a clean and polish with wd40 Smile

24k is valve service on my CBR600RR Thumbs Down 1k to go. Although local garage said on the countless ones he has done, none have been out of spec, they have quite large tolerances compared to most others Thumbs Up

Looked at the bike cover only to discover loads of little holes. Couple that with the piss strains on my back tire and it's obvious the neighbourhood cats have been having a fun time with my poor KLE. The little furry bastards will pay for this, it's war Mad

Somehow (really no idea how) I passed my MOT with not a single advisory! I've accidentally been riding around for nearly a month without an MOT too, been followed by a couple of police cars in that time too, not complaining Laughing

About to change my spark plugs and oil to see if it helps my crunchy gears and rough idle. Wish me luck!

Might look into using it, a lot cheaper than spray chain lube it seems....

I assume it's safe to use then? just brush/wipe it on there?

Pretty much what I did. covers nicely. Just wipe off the excess. Thumbs Up
I gave up using spray lube as my chain was rusting in a matter of days in the great British weather we get.

At 24k? mine was at 16k and didn't need anything doing, Honda dealer I'm good friends with says they rarely have to do anything to Honda clearances. £350 later....

Tempted to do the service myself when it comes to it but a little worried about resell value (had full Honda service up until 20k which they said was a check over (at £165!!!) and they won't change the oil, so i changed it myself.)

Collected it from the garage, cheap chinese fucking shite of a chain had a faulty link.

Seriously canny fathom how manufacturers can sleep putting such shoddy and yet integral parts on a bike!

Got pulled over because... in his words... "I could hear you from miles away on my own motorbike"

"Please change your license plate and calm it down"

and off I go, top bloke, he didn't see me travelling at *ehem* the speed I was but he heard me.

The only lesson I learned from this was... "Your exhaust sounds awesome from several miles away Mr. Green "

Nails and screws seem almost magnetically drawn to bike tires.
I put it down to filtering and the centre or side of the road road is where all crud ends up.
Take a look at the centre of the road near lights. It's a treasure trove of shit.

It seems the stubby levers I fitted the other day are exactly the same as the Pazzo levers, just without the Pazzo logo on them.

https://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/pazzo_small.JPG

Can't see any difference at all. Makes me happy because the Pazzos cost about £60-70 each, and I got the pair for just over £20 Very Happy

Last night I gave the bike a wipe down, Adjusted the chain, quick spin around the block, removed top box, measured a few things to give her a spring over clean and replace a few bits for aesthetics. Then sat in my garden next to my bike, with the assistance of doggies, and ordered a few bits for her.

At 8pm. In the warm, dry light of a spring evening. Can of Pepsi Max in hand.

Although I poke fun at people that moan about our weather, I gotta admit, last night was a lovely relief. Wub
