A steam train and/or traction engine are steam powed. The coal is only used to heat the water, the steam actually drives the piston. The coal is not powering the engine, just heating water.

not technically steam powered tho is it. It makes steam I guess.. Just been back to get a better PIC and they have blocked the fence off completely with another truck lol, maybe they thought I was casing the joint earlier still was a nice 20 mile ride..
