No flick chain lube?

Hello people!

Im sick of spending ages cleaning my bike, then lubing my chain, for it to cover the whole bike in lube because my Holts chain lube flicks everywhere! Whats the best chain lube, that doesn't flick everywhere? Orange wheels are very hard to keep clean, and even harder when they have chain lube all over them! I want something good aswell, I don't want crap lube that will not do the job properly!

Thanks guys, I really want some DuPont lube, but I can't find it anywhere in the country, its meant to be amazing.

Whatevers lying in the garage!

I have some Kal-Gard chain lube, that goes everywhere.
4 litres of old engine oil, that goes everywhere.
ATF which i used recently, that goes everywhere.

All of um do the job, but theres pros and cons for each.

ATF and engine oil are cheap, last longer and are easier to clean off rims etc. But it needs re applying more often in my experience.

Bike specific chain lube/wax is kinda expensive, doesnt last too long, still seems to fling off and is a bastard to remove. But its easier to apply.

Do these dry lubes do a half decent job at preventing the chain rusting up?

I tried wurth dry lube before but didn't really get along with it as the chain never looked as if it had anything on it which I just didn't like the idea of..... At the end of the day it takes about 10 seconds to give the bike a quick wipe over to get rid of the fling on the body work. Then another 20 seconds to get it off the rim.

The best thing to do is lube your chain with the stuff of your stuff and then seal in the lube with a coating of wax and give the wax a chance to go off.

I used to buy the Wurth Dry chain lube from the local dealer's and I think Hein Gericke sell it as well.

Personally, though I stopped using it as I had so much dirt stuck to it, it ended up as a grinding paste.

I now use a Scottoiler and as the flow is adjustable I can keep the fling down to a minimum.

Kinda regretting getting my loobman.

Works ok but makes a right mess and sprays it up the wheel which makes me paranoid about taking corners.

But then works out cheaper in the long run.

I've found I get the best results by lubing the chain straight after a ride whilst it's still hot. Applying it whilst the chain is spinning rather than just spraying it whilst the bike is on the sidestand seems to help too but that could just be me. I use the motul racing line chain wax at the mo, although tbh I just grab whatever wax is going.
