...for a service this morning and they gave me...

... a four-stroke 125cc scooter. Crying or Very sad

Words cannot express how utterly shit it is. I ask you all to join me in a prayer that they get my CBR finished before half past five tonight, otherwise I'm riding this heap home. To Slough. Down the A40. Anyone know any good hotels?

And I thought you used to enjoy riding your little scooter, or is it just because this one's not yellow. Laughing

I just doesn't go. At all. My old Malaguti was at least a 2 stroke and would make a vague attempt at something resembling accelleration.

First couple of junctions were quality though - some fool put the back brake where the clutch is meant to go. Laughing

Hi
I wouldnt except it, say you live far away and have to travel down motorways and they should give you something that resebles a motorcyle (not scooter) that can happily go down the motorway. If they gave me that thing I'd tell em where to shove it!.

Um, they're under no obligation to give you a courtesy bike (it's a 'courtesy' you see) and he said if I'd been there earlier I would have got a cb500, but folk who brought their bikes in at 8am got them. They can't give me something that they don't have.

As it stands, they're going to do their best to have the bike finished today, in which case there really isn't anything unreasonable about being given a scooter to get from Chiswick to Acton (about 3 miles tops).

Seeing as Bendy has a full license it's illegal to display the L-plate. Laughing

Oh and Bendy we want to see pics of you on the bike with full leathers. Razz Laughing

Sweeeeet. I'll be round after work. Not sure about leaving the scoot in your garage though, I mean, someone might break in and try to steal it. Mr. Green

We're going out at lunchtime to prat about on the beast around the industrial estate. Very Happy

It's got a nice top box though, somewhere to keep the sandwiches. You could also put a newspaper in there to read on the journey home! Wink

Assuming you're justing riding 3 miles to work, then 3 miles back again on 1 day it's no big deal. If you have to ride home I'd be less than chuffed. Laughing And you'd be quite pissed off if you had to ride home on the A40 on that Luke, as someone else wanted the CB500 or whatever to ride 6 miles in total through rushhour traffic. Wink

Bid Up would be happy about that! Smile

Will you have the bike tomorrow? I'm up at Bid Up again, so I might see you hooning about on a scoot! Very Happy

I got a GS500. It's only got 3800 miles on it, gearbox seems really smooth, clutch seems to be good condition as well. Twisted Evil

Out of interest, what do you think of the GS500? That's one on my list of potential first bikes.

Rick.
