Im a member of a few forums, one of them (considerably smaller) has an annual meet. Nothing too extravagant, just a few days in Mid Waleshire.

Im wondering how many members of this forum would be up for a weekends riding. Obviously we would have to agree a location, date etc which i'm sure would be the start of many many arguments Laughing But i'd just like to gauge how many would be up for it.

i've put £100 on the consideration of 2 nights B&B, food, drinks and fuel. If people wanted to camp, it'd be a fair bit cheaper.

Vote at the top, i'll count the figures and divide by 5. Laughing

This has been discussed many times.

Including a massive thread about a month ago.
Do a search and you should find it.

Nope, loads of people showed interest.

As I predicted, people also soon lost interest Whistle Razz.

It's a bit too early to be arranging such things.

Doesn't mean it's a no-goer, read the thread from the previous discussion and you'll see people were fairly keen.

I might have a go at it. There are quite a few members I know that im sure would be up for it. There are always dropouts, some can't be helped but most are just rubbish i.e My mum won't let me etc.

Its usually at the deposit stage where we find out who's really interested in going.

I'd really fancy this. Even if its only 15 or 20 people that enough for a good weekend.

We'll see how it goes. Smile

Have you attended any regional BCF gatherings Black Night?

Not wishing to sound elitist, might be an idea to do that so that you decide you hate everyone and don't want 'owt to do with us Smile.

As discussed in the previous thread, now is not the time to get people to say yay or no, or to be doing much else.

Early next year Jan-March, would make more sense.

If we can get 15 to 20 people i'd be more than happy. It doesn't seem a huge figure but its a lot of bikes and tbh prob would encompass the more 'regular' users of the forum.

2 nights B&B £50
Food £30
Drinks £25
Fuel £30

Thats £135. If people want to camp or cut the food/drink cost down then obviously it will be quite a bit less.

I had a 3 day trip away over summer and it cost all in, in the reigon of £150.

Yes, it is a lot of money, but then on the other hand you'll have a great wekend away. I think pretty much any weekend you have away would cost you a simalar ammont or more.

I just wanted to have a monatary figure in there from the start so people realise the cost rather than post 'yes' then in the week before everyone bail out as they cant afford it.

And of course if people just want to come an join for a days riding then it will be 'free'. Just their fuel cost.

I seem to remember (and it's a better idea) spending a night or twon in a tent, in a fiel, somewhere in Wales. You would probably need about £50 for the whole weekend, that includes campiste fee's, food, drink and probably most of your petrol.

You can cook anything on a disposable BBQ thing, and just buy bundles of sausages and other meat's to eat. It need not be expensive.

Staying in hotel's boring (I would imagine). Go outside into a big field. Thumbs Up

I'd be up for something like that, although the camping idea would be preferable.

i rekon next spring to coincide with a bike event, i know a good cheap, biker friendly camp site in cayton village, about 10 miles from scarborough.

We could meet up the same weekend as the road racing up there at olives mount or something similar.

It woud be good for about 10 to 20 of us heading down onto the south bay, baking sun, nipping for a hot chocolate at the tea pot cafe!

hehe

or somthing like that,

Very, very expensive.

Personally, I'd say somewhere like Bulldog Bash would be the ideal place. Yes, you have to pay to get in, yes it's actually the Hell's Angels anual meet, so BCF is a bit swamped, but there's plenty to keep people occupied, including participating in drag racing in the day time, etc etc.

i would love to come along with you all, but im not quite sure you'd all enjoy my 50cc brute screaming along side all the way there and my manny petrol stops, ow yeah and i cant go on motorways...but id think that most of you would rather not ride continuously on a strait slab of concrete when ther are manny long tight corners that yopu can slap ya bikes round

maybee next time
