Depending on bump shape, size and general wellness Rolling Eyes
I'm gonna try to at least meet up with you somewhere.
Its bloody ridiculous, savo only lives 7 miles away and we still haven't met up.
I might take the zx6.... or I might take the cbr125 Confused

Just as a small hijack. My local bike club are organising a big run in April, before the race season starts again, last year we had 100+ bikes and raised £4600 for local charity and had class craic.

Anyhow....end of hijack Laughing

Hey Wildcat. I've been all over the net trying to find bike clubs around Northern Ireland. Are there many around?

I have been to a run recently organised by a club in lisburn, and one organised by a club in banbridge and the dungannon club done a fantastic run in September.
Then there are clubs like sins n twins who organise a rally every year in cooley which is a blast.

You're in Belfast aren't you?
I'll ask at the next meeting and let you know your nearest.
Thumbs Up

Maybe a meet at mc donalds sprucefield? It's kinda easy for all to get to, plus you can grab a cuppa while everyone says hi.
Also that route might be a bit hopeful for January, did you realise its 280ish miles long?

I'd suggest a shorter route at first, as nobody knows each other riding style or abilities. Also means that anyone on a 125 could go too.

Just suggestions Thumbs Up

Not that much more experienced sweetheart, but it would be a good idea to make it a shorter run so we can kinda get to know each other a bit better, both on and off the roads, There will be loads of chances to meet up again over the year.
And as the Irish member number numbers are still quite low, it would be nice to be able to meet up with as many as possible, including the peeps on smaller bikes.

You're the pilot Savo, so don't change your plans just cos i'm a woman and always right KIDDING
I'd be up for a long run myself, just tryin to accomodate everyone. Embarassed

A shorter run is probably a better idea. Maybe up to Nutts Corner and on through Antrim to Lough Neagh or something like that. Then back down the Antrim road into belfast and stop of at Belfast Castle. Just a thought.

Well pass anywhere where people need us to. Closer to the time we'll get some sort of route sorted out that makes it easy for everyone. If there are a few of you close, then once we sort out a route, you can get together in your little groups and we can meet up. I had the idea of anyone in Belfast or close by, meeting at Belfast Castle. It's all open to debate at this point though. Feel free to suggest. If someone knows a nice destination with a cafe or somewhere we can grab a beverage, that would be good. Thumbs Up

seems like theres gonna be quite a few going, but i always feel my tank just isnt big enough, i can get 95-105 miles going easy and 80 odd going reasonably hard, it costs £7.80 to fill it right up, maybe someone else on a 125 tell me what their mpg is, incase theres a prob with my bike Smile

Don't worry about all that. We'll ride to suit everyone. The most important point of it all is just for us to all meet up instead of all sitting at computers chatting about bikes all the time. My bike went on reserve after 107 miles yesterday

Thats a pretty good route, short but enough for us all to say hi.

rac do a pretty good route planner, if we can find a place to stop for a coffee that's central to all of us, it will be a good meeting point for any future runs. Road racing season fast approaches Very Happy

Maybe once we all know each other we can organise a trip to a trackday.
