Ghetto? I'm sorry I have to laugh. Portobello Road is a fruit and veg market at one end and antiques on the other. Last time I checked markets weren't meant to look like the fecking Hilton.
Also I'm guessing you're not used to living in an area where there's all types of nationalities and people from different walks of life. If you want 'ghetto' go down to Brixton or even Hackney. Some parts of North London could even be considered 'ghetto'.
I remember when Zimma first came to my area, he called it a 'Black' area because not only was the Notting Hill carnival held here, but back in Whitton there wasn't a single black family to found within the whole residential area. I just find it funny how people can be ignorant and naive at the same time. ____________________ Sometimes, I like to think I'm 'spe-cial'. |

well I knew that but have you seen Boyz in the Hood??
I know it's a film, but does give an insight into what REAL ghetto's are like. Places like Compton and such. Where people would get shot just for wearing dodgy clothes.
The most you get in Lewisham now days is a few mental patients or drunks starting fights with their reflections at bus shelters
